1. Information We Collect

When you use ColorlyAI, we collect the following types of information:

Photographs

When you upload a photo in order to use the hair color simulation features, we collect and process that image. We obtain only the specific photos you choose to edit – even if you grant the app access to your camera roll, we do not scan or collect your entire photo library. The images you select are uploaded to our secure servers (using FAL.AI and cloud providers) for processing and then returned to you with the applied hair color effect.

We do not store these photos permanently on our servers; they are retained temporarily (typically up to 24-48 hours) in an encrypted cache to enable quick re-edits or adjustments. After this short period, the photos are deleted from our processing servers. Additionally, as noted above, we do not collect metadata embedded in your photos (and we actively remove metadata like geotags during upload) to protect your privacy.

Face Data

Apart from the photo image itself, we do not collect any additional biometric data about your face. For example, we do not create or store any kind of face recognition template or face geometry data – we only use the entire image in our AI model to change hair color and do not extract or save any separate face measurements. Any facial feature detection occurs on- device or transiently on our server to apply the filter, and we do not keep that data.

Email and Account Information

If you choose to create an account with ColorlyAI or sign up for a newsletter, we may collect your email address and other contact information (such as your name or a username). This information will be used to set up and manage your account, to communicate with you (for example, sending verification codes, receipts for purchases, or support responses), and to send you updates about the app if you have opted in.

Usage Data and Analytics

Like most apps, we automatically collect certain information about how you use ColorlyAI in order to understand performance and improve our services. This includes information such as: the features you use and the actions you take in the app (e.g., how many photos you edit, which hair colors are most popular), the time and frequency of your app usage, your device type and operating system version, language preferences, and other technical data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

To Provide the Core Service (AI Hair Color Simulation)

First and foremost, we use your photos to perform the hair color change and show you the result. We do not use the photographs for any reason other than to provide you with the editing functionality of ColorlyAI. This means we feed the image into our AI model (either on your device or via our cloud processor) and generate the output image. We might also use the image briefly to allow additional edits (as mentioned, we cache it for a short time so you can try a different color without re-uploading).

Account Creation and Authentication

If you create an account or provide an email, we use that information to create and maintain your user account. For example, your email may be used as your login identifier and for sending verification codes or password reset links, if needed. We may use account data to remember your settings or preferences in the app.

Communication

We use your contact information (like email) to communicate with you about the App. This includes sending service-related messages such as confirmations of your purchases or subscription status, important updates or changes to the app or policy, and responding to any inquiries or support requests you send us. We may also send push notifications within the app for things like notifying you when an image processing is complete, or alerting you to new features.

App Improvement and Analytics

We use usage data and analytics information to operate, analyze, and improve ColorlyAI. It is in our legitimate interest to understand how users interact with our App so we can make it better. For example, we analyze which hair colors are most tried, how long users spend on the app, or at which step users tend to drop off, so we can refine the user experience.

3. How We Share Your Information

ColorlyAI takes your privacy seriously, and we do not share your personal information with third parties except in the limited circumstances described here:

Service Providers (Processors)

We employ a few trusted third-party companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf that are necessary for the App to function. These service providers may have access to certain personal information, but only to the extent needed to do their work, and they are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. The main service providers we use include:

• Cloud Hosting and AI Processing: We use third-party cloud infrastructure (such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services) and the FAL.AI service to process and generate the hair color effect on your photos
• Analytics and Crash Reporting: We use Firebase/Google Analytics to gather usage statistics, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting
• Email and Communication Tools: If we send emails, we may use an email service provider to send those communications

Legal Compliance and Protection

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations or respond to valid legal processes (e.g., a subpoena, court order, or search warrant). We may also disclose certain information if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ColorlyAI, our users, or the public.

With Your Consent

Aside from the scenarios above, if we ever need to share your information for any other purpose, we will ask for your consent. You have the right to say no. For instance, if we wanted to feature one of your before/after photos in an advertisement, we would only do so if you agree. Without your consent, we will not share your personal content publicly or with third parties who are not involved in providing the ColorlyAI service.

ColorlyAI employs reasonable security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We take the security of your personal data seriously. Measures we use include:

• Encryption: We use encryption to protect data in transit using HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• Access Controls: We limit access to personal information to authorized personnel who need it to operate or improve the App
• Securing Your Photos: Photos are encrypted and stored temporarily with industry best practices

ColorlyAI is offered to users worldwide and uses servers located in several countries. This means your information may be transferred to and stored on servers in a country different from your own. For example, if you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Turkey, your personal data may be processed on servers located in the United States.

We will handle all data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws. If you are located outside the United States, be aware that the data protection laws of the US or other countries may not be as comprehensive or protective as those in your country. However, our handling of your data will always be governed by this Privacy Policy.

For example, we might provide a link to our Instagram/Facebook page, or allow you to share your edited photo via other apps on your device. We do not have control over the content, privacy practices, or security of other websites or services that may be linked from our App. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third- party services you interact with. ColorlyAI is not responsible for how those external platforms handle your data.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. If we make material changes (for example, if we start collecting additional personal data or using data in a significantly different way), we will provide clear notice.
